Logging Hours - FAQ

What times and days of the week can I work?

You can work at any time on any day of the week that works for you and your teammates, including weekends and holidays/breaks if you choose.
The on-campus lab is accessible 24/7 with your ASU student ID.

What hours count as work?

You can log hours for any time you work on Meteor Studio projects, attend weekly Meteor meetings, or attend other meetings/events as a representative of Meteor Studio.

What is the maximum number of hours I can log?

Do not report more hours than the maximum provisioned in agreement with Robert. So as not to raise red flags, do not report more hours than the maximum provisioned in the offer letter. (These do include backlogged hours. Do not log more than 25 hours per week.).
Note that ASU students may work up to a maximum of 25 hours per week on average. This includes the total hours from all concurrent ASU student worker jobs.
Also as per ASU policy, you cannot log more than 7 consecutive hours of work in one day as a part-time employee.

When do I need to log my hours by?

Submit your hours each week before 5 PM on Wednesdays. You can log hours ahead of time (i.e., for Thursday/Friday/Saturday of the week) if you plan to work during those times. This gives Robert sufficient time to approve your hours.

How do I report backlogged hours from before my official start date?

DO NOT WRITE COMMENTS ABOUT BACKLOGGED HOURS IN YOUR LOGS
We should not be backlogging/backpaying hours. Students should not be starting work before their start date except in extraordinary circumstances.
