(1) Digital Media Assistant Position

Hiring designer/developer for AR/VR research at ASU [Meteor Studio]


My research lab Meteor Studio is looking to hire a designer/developer whose primary strengths include graphic design, video editing, and coding.


This is a paid position on the ASU Tempe campus that calls for approximately 10 hours/week. We encourage students at all levels (undergraduate and graduate) within all disciplines to apply.


You’ll be a perfect fit if you:

  • Possess a keen eye for design and strong attention to detail
  • Love working with multiple forms of media and a variety of projects
  • Are an excellent problem solver
  • Adapt and learn new technologies quickly
  • Communicate early and often with your team for effective collaboration

Responsibilities:

  • Designing graphics for digital and print media, such as websites, mobile apps, posters, research publications, and promotional materials
  • Filming and editing high-quality videos for documentation of our lab’s projects
  • Editing and building web pages, ensuring responsiveness and cross-browser compatibility
  • Communicating with others to gather and create media content

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or similar graphic design software
  • Proficiency in Premiere, Final Cut, and/or similar video editing software
  • Familiarity with web development languages and tools, e.g., HTML, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery, Node.js, Bootstrap, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience coding in any object-oriented programming language, e.g., C#, Java, Python, etc.
