The Time and Attendance Support (TAS) system is an accompaniment to PeopleSoft time reporting. It is a sustainable and efficient way for employees and supervisors to verify that time entered into PeopleSoft is correct.
Accessing the Department Time and Attendance Support (TAS) system
The Time and Attendance Support (TAS) system is accessed through MY ASU.
-
Go to my.asu.edu and sign in using your ASURITE username and password.
-
Under the My Employment box, click on the Time tab and then click on the Department Time and Attendance Support link.
*TIP: You may also access the TAS system directly via https://tas.asu.edu/ OR leave.asu.edu.
Using the Department Time and Attendance Support (TAS) system
Once you have successfully logged into the TAS system you will be able to report hours worked as applicable.
- Weekly time requests must be submitted for approval by 5 p.m. each Wednesday.
- Time entered should include hours worked from Monday through Sunday of the applicable work week (project hours for Thursday through Sunday, if applicable).
- Submit daily request separately. DO NOT submit all weekly hours in one request.
- To simply report your regular hours worked, click on Hours Worked.
- A window will pop up in which you will need to indicate your time worked and the total number of hours.
The Comments section is optional. However, if you have more than one hourly position please be sure to indicate the position title, supervisor name and hourly wage that corresponds with each request.
REMEMBER: Daily requests must be submitted separately. DO NOT submit multiple-day requests in one submission.
3. Once you click Submit Request a notice will be automatically sent to your applicable supervisor to log into the TAS system to review and approve your reported hours.
- You can make changes to your request (Edit or Withdraw) anytime as long as your supervisor hasn’t already approved it and/or the time you reported has not started.
If you want to make a change after it has been approved or the time reported has started, your supervisor can delete the request so that you can then enter your corrected time.
Check Your Hours
- Do your entries in TAS match those in PeopleSoft?
- Are all your hours entered so that they equal your usual number or scheduled hours?
- Do your entries reflect your actual hours?
- Did you work overtime as a student worker?
- Are the types of hours correct (i.e. paid holiday vs. unpaid holiday, sick, hours worked, etc.)?
- Did you select Submit in both TAS and PeopleSoft?
- Was your time entered by the deadline?
Other Functions in the Department Time and Attendance Support (TAS) system
- TAS will remind you to enter your time before the weekly deadline, so please do not turn off the reminders in “Options.”
- You will receive emails whenever your supervisor approves or makes any changes to your entry.
- You can check when your supervisor approved your time by clicking on “view.”
- If your request is shown as “submitted” rather than “approved,” it means that your supervisor
hasn’t yet approved your time.
